The Littauer Ligature Scissors is built around the specific challenge of suture removal which requires the clinician to get beneath the suture thread without catching or pulling the skin in the process. The hook shaped tip on the lower blade solves this problem directly. It slides cleanly under the suture loop, lifts it away from the tissue surface and holds it in position so that the cutting blades can complete a controlled and precise transection in a single motion.

The beveled cutting edges of the blades are designed to cut through suture material cleanly and with minimal resistance. The blade geometry concentrates cutting force along a fine narrow edge which allows the instrument to sever both fine and heavy gauge suture threads without requiring excessive hand pressure. This makes the instrument equally reliable for removing delicate facial sutures and heavier sutures used in deeper or more substantial wound closures.

The short blade design of the instrument increases precision and reduces the risk of the blades reaching unintended tissue during the removal process. This is particularly valuable when removing sutures from sensitive areas such as the face, eyelids or areas where visibility is limited. The short blade to shank ratio also gives the clinician better control over the cutting action at all times.

A Supercut variant is also available which features a sharp upper blade and a micro serrated lower blade. The serrated surface grips the suture securely during cutting and prevents it from slipping sideways before the cut is complete. The instrument is available in multiple lengths to suit both superficial and deeper suture removal requirements across different clinical settings.

The ergonomic ring handles provide a secure and comfortable grip that reduces hand strain during repeated suture removal sessions. The lightweight streamlined body of the instrument allows for easy maneuvering in confined or hard to reach areas.

DELIVERY TIME:
- All instruments available in stock will be shipped within 4 to 5 business days, and you will receive a tracking number for your order by email.
- Any instruments that are not available in stock may take up to 15 business days to be manufactured and shipped.
- Shipping Time for Custom Cleared (Door to Door) orders is 13 to 15 business days and for Non-Custom Cleared orders is 8 to 10 business days.
