The Iris Scissors features fine sharp tips and short smooth blades that are purpose built for delicate tissue cutting across ophthalmic, dermatological, plastic and general surgical procedures. The fine tip design concentrates cutting precision at the very point of contact which allows the surgeon to work with millimeter accuracy in the most sensitive anatomical areas.
The straight blade variant is used for incisions on flat or surface level tissue planes. The curved blade variant is designed specifically for tissue contouring and dissection within narrow confined spaces where a straight blade cannot reach or maneuver effectively. Both configurations deliver clean and well defined dissection planes with minimal traction on surrounding structures.
A Supercut variant is also available which features a razor sharp upper blade and a micro serrated lower blade. The serrated surface grips slippery or delicate tissue firmly during cutting which prevents unwanted slippage and delivers a smoother and more controlled cut. A Tungsten Carbide variant is also available which provides superior edge retention and extended sharpness well beyond standard stainless steel. Tungsten Carbide models are identified by gold colored ring handles for easy identification on the surgical tray. A left handed variant is also available to provide natural control and comfort for left handed surgeons during micro procedures.
The ergonomic finger ring handles provide a secure and comfortable grip that reduces hand fatigue during extended procedures. The short shank design of the instrument gives the surgeon greater precision and better cutting control at the blade tip.
Manufactured from premium grade surgical stainless steel with a satin finish to minimize intraoperative glare. Fully autoclave compatible for repeated sterilization and long term clinical reuse.
