The Joseph Scissors features sharp pointed tips and razor-like outer edges that are purpose built for clean dissection of skin, soft tissue, lateral cartilages, mucous membranes and sutures in narrow and confined surgical sites.
The short blade design allows the surgeon to work with maximum accuracy in restricted spaces. It enables clean separation of skin from the underlying nasal framework without disturbing the surrounding tissue structures.
A Supercut variant is also available. It incorporates micro serrations along the lower blade surface that grip slippery or fibrous tissue securely during cutting. This prevents unwanted tissue slippage and reduces the risk of tearing in adjacent structures.
The Joseph Scissors is available in straight and curved configurations to suit varying tissue planes and dissection angles across nasal and oropharyngeal procedures. A Tungsten Carbide variant is also available which extends blade sharpness well beyond standard stainless steel. Tungsten Carbide models are identified by gold colored ring handles for easy identification on the surgical tray.
The ergonomic ring handles provide a stable and comfortable grip that translates precise hand movements directly to the blade tip. The lightweight body of the instrument further reduces surgeon fatigue during lengthy procedures.
Manufactured from premium grade surgical stainless steel with a satin finish to minimize intraoperative glare. Fully autoclave compatible for repeated sterilization and long term clinical reuse.
